What happens to the links I had to your old site/old links from the search engines?
Don't worry, our advanced features will help redirect you to the proper place on the new site. If you were trying to access a particular picture in our PhotoTour, you will be redirected to the photo in its new location. As well, using a old URL for a particular quilt will get you the same quilt but in the quilt's new place. Looking for a particular category? You will be automatically routed to the new location for the category. And if what you were looking for on the old site was not listed above, a search on the new site will be performed so that you can access the right location.
I tried that, but I still didn't find what I was looking for.
Due to the nature of the internet, many site are constantly being added and removed. We have painstakingly tested every link on our site to ensure that they are accurate and taking visitors to the right location. Links to sites that are no longer functional have been removed. Whenever possible, a replacement site was found to cover that aspect of Appalachia. If you have suggestions of additional links, articles, photographs, or other resources that we could provide, please
let us know. If you have suggestions of an additional category for an entry to be placed in, please
let us know as well.
